Cricket Movie - Fire In Babylon

PROBIZ has turned their interest to sporting movies and have agreed terms to be the presenting partner of Fire In Babylon - a political cricketing movie featuring several West Indian Legends such as Viv Richards and Michael Holding.
PROBIZ Founder Feisal Nahaboo said, "We are delighted to become the official presenting partner of this amazing film. Growing up in the 1980's as a sports mad boy the film is full of so many great memories of the truly great West Indies teams of that era. The film though is much more than just a trip down memory lane remembering the great West Indies players of that era, it is a reminder of the significant contribution that cricket played in the emergence of all Caribbean nations from the 1950's to present day. I first saw the film with one of our PROBIZ Ambassadors, Gladstone Small and his comments after seeing the film were very powerful and encapsulate the essence of the film. :
"I found the film very enjoyable to watch, but most importantly as it unfolded I was more drawn to the wider political-cultural footnotes that were portrayed in the storyline. It should be made a mandatory history lesson for every school child in the Caribbean, and also a must see for the generations of West Indian descendants living here in the UK that have grown up not knowing or caring for how important a role the game of cricket is to their culture. Well done to all those behind Fire in Babylon and I wish them every success."

Feisal also commented "Having recently signed sponsorship agreements with Sussex, Hampshire and Lancashire County Cricket Clubs, to support what we believe will become an iconic film in the world of cricket was an opportunity not to be missed and is a complimentary way for us to involve our accountancy members in our sponsorship of cricket. I wish Revolver and all those who saw the potential of this film and backed it in the early days a very successful launch. The Premier in Leicester Square on 9th May 2011 was exceptional and it was crazy for me to personally sit a row behind Hugh Grant and then to meet and chat with Mick Jagger at the after party. Can't wait for the DVD release so all households have the opportunity to appreciate the film...."
Details to obtain a copy of the movie will appear here shortly.
